Photo Editing, Online Brainstorming, and Online Polling
This week we learned how to use ippiccy collage/Info Graphic which is a free online photo editor. Ippiccy has so many different things that you can use to edit photos and to make collages. I had so much fun working with the collages, and I ended up making a collage with pictures from my best friend's wedding this last summer. I thought it turned out so neat and it surprised me with all the different options that they have to work with. I really liked that you could add stickers, text, or even pictures from the internet or pictures from your computer. It was easy to understand the different collages and even the editing parts that they have on the site. I think I will be using this site more now that I have had some practice with it.
Another thing we learned about this week was SpiderScribe, which is an online mind mapping and brainstorming tool. We used a scenario and we had to plug in the information for an event we were planning. We had to use text, images, documents, and a map showing where the event would be taking place. I really enjoyed using SpiderScribe and I think this would be a great way to plan events for a library. This tool would help to make sure that you have everything covered when planning an event, and I thought it was very useful in planning one of the events we were planning for this week's assignments.
The last thing we learned about was Doodle. This is a way to put your calendar events or things you have going on and get some organization to it. This will be a way you can create an event and invite people to help with it and get their input too. Sometimes it helps to have more than one person's input when doing an event, this way you have more ideas. They have so many different ways that you can do things, you can pick your times that you have available and see if they work for the others in your group. The calendar is very easy to understand, and you can send the link for your calendar to anyone you need to.
